blaaargh: Paul Rudolph, Lower Manhattan Expressway, New York City, 1970 I saw this in New York 1960 and thought it the most bizarre thing. While I’m incredibly glad this never happened - as it would have wiped out the cast-iron district, this proposal was actually kind of cool looking.
