Jumping a Chair Animal Locomotion, Plate 156. Eadweard Muybridge, 1887 Another favorite Animal Locomotion plate. I’ve always loved how dynamic this image is, especially when seen in this format, with all the frames placed in sequence. While sometimes seeing these plates animated makes it easier to see the motion of the sequence - I like the visual rhythm created when seeing them this way.
