More trade card goodness. I’ve made an executive decision that I can also use my tumblr for showing the images that inspire drawings as well. 

Here’s a trade card that goes against popular thinking about nineteenth-century mores (AKA Divorce being an unthinkable option for unhappy marriages). At least - I’d like to think so.

But apparently, divorce wasn’t so unthinkable to keep advertisers in the late 1870s or early 1880s from using it as a way to sell sewing machines.
